On April 19, 2025, AUCA hosted the “Digital Methods and Tools in Humanities” Symposium, bringing together over 40 faculty members and students from universities across Bishkek. Being the first event of its kind in the field of Digital Humanities in the country’s academia, it served as a foundation for future developments.
Participants shared their experiences integrating Digital Humanities methods and tools across various academic disciplines, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges encountered in the process. Faculty members presented case studies, teaching methodologies, and research initiatives that demonstrated the practical application of digital approaches in the humanities. Students showcased their current projects in creative engagement with digital technologies in Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies, Sociology, Literature, and Language Studies.
The symposium served as the concluding event of the “Digital Methods and Tools in Humanities” project, supported by the AUCA Presidential Research and Education Fund (PREF).
